 2009 is an important milestone for Nationwide Agribusiness.
As we celebrate our centennial anniversary, try to envision the turn-of-the-century challenges that faced agriculture.
Farmers and agribusiness leaders struggled with finding
adequate insurance protection for the staple of their rural communities, the local grain elevator.
The result of their hard work and planning was an alternative source of dependable, affordable insurance. It was also a company that would build a solid reputation by focusing solely on the needs of American agriculture. First located in Aurelia, Iowa, that company would be known by future generations as Farmland Insurance.
Today, it operates as Nationwide Agribusiness and we remain fully committed to the businesses and the people who are American agriculture. As we move forward together, we pledge to stay focused on our tradition of safety, service, and integrity in our second 100 years.
